Living Faith Lutheran Church responds to God’s bountiful blessings by modeling the servant love of Jesus Christ. Through a variety of programs, we actively serve the congregation, community, and world by providing hope and seeking justice for those in need, uplifting people into a life with Christ, and celebrating God’s presence in all of creation. Our congregation strives to take an active leadership role in dozens of programs and ministries in the community, including:
Children’s Hunger Fund
Living Faith Lutheran Church supports and partners with Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF), an international action network which aims to alleviate hunger. Through this unique program, doors are opened to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of a family. The CHF network locally serves the Santa Clarita, Antelope and San Fernando Valleys as well as other locations in Southern California. In addition to the Mercy Network ministry, CHF also supplies other agencies focusing on food distribution to the poor through Christian ministries. Once a month a team from Living Faith packs food and clothing items at the CHF warehouse in Pacoima. CHF is open for volunteers each Wednesday and Saturday from 9-11 am. All ages are accepted and service hours are signed off. For more information or to sign up to attend, contact Michele Hill at michele.hill@livingfaithscv.org
The Church of Hope Food Pantry and Thrift Shop
Living Faith Lutheran partners with The Church of Hope in Canyon Country to provide food, clothing, and household goods to client families. We identify which food items are needed most at the food pantry, communicate these to the congregation, then collect and drop off the donated food. Clothing, small household items, and toys are also accepted for resale in the thrift store.
